Let the holiday season officially begin! Shopping on Black Friday with Alice was definitely interesting to say the least. You can tell the failing economy has an effect on the mood of the people in the stores...everyone wants to save as much money as possible without having to go miss out on getting someone a perfect gift (though I must argue that no one really needs a 60" television...but that's just my personal opinion). I truly felt bad for the workers in these stores, having to deal with crazy shoppers who will kill and maim just so they can get their hands on a video game system for a lowered price.
I did get most of my Christmas shopping done at least. Except for Alice, of course. It'd be silly to get her something this early in the season, she'd have seen it already and I can't have that. I usually try to wait until Christmas Eve to decide upon a present so she will hopefully be surprised.
The best part of the Christmas season has got to be the Christmas music. The satellite radio has a station devoted to classical and modern Christmas tunes and I believe I've had it on non-stop since it became available on Thursday. Also, I am looking for houses in Washington that have ridiculously extravagant displays of lights and lawn ornaments simply because I find them fascinating. I believe we should have a field trip to find such a place.

Oh man, Thanksgiving might just be the best holiday ever. Sure, historically speaking, it didn't end up so great for the natives in the long run, but I am going to ignore that in favor of stuffing. And sweet potatoes covered in marshmallows and brown sugar. I think I'm finally hungry...after 36 hours of feeling like a huge pig. Dinner with my family, more dinner with the pack...oh man...what a day. One word: Pie. Damn, I love pie.
And then my mother shakes me awake at 3 in the morning to ask if I want to go Black Friday shopping with her so I can help her lift the heavy stuff. Never ever again. I didn't even buy anything, I was just sent all over Wal-Mart to stand by boxes of stuff and tackle anyone who got in the way of the GPS my mom wanted to get for my dad or a ridiculously cheap television for the living room (the good part is that I get the old one for my room! Sweeeeet). And then she sent me to the car because she had to grab stuff for me for Christmas. We finally got home at 10 in the morning. Seven hours of my own personal hell.
I think my body is fully readjusted to a normal sleep pattern again. Thank God, because I have some major homeworking to do. Ugh.

So I was walking past the video game store. And when I looked in I had to do a double take. I could swear I just saw Quil and Emmett squeeing over video games. My brain broke a little. Thank god for camera phones.

Holy crap, I'm excited. I realize there is work to do, but I've been collaborating with dad, and I'm going to be raiding the grocery store soon and my stomach is excited. Very, very excited. Turkey day is just phenomenal. Party at the Black House.
Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, oh my.
The first Thanksgiving feast lasted three days providing enough food for 53 pilgrims and 90 Indians
If it lasts a few hours for just dozen or so of us, I'll be impressed.

Though we will not be consuming the traditional Thanksgiving dinner that most families share together on this special holiday, I do feel we should be doing something to celebrate. Therefore I have decided to make use of our kitchen and prepare all of the traditional food anyway. On Thanksgiving, the food will all be taken to the hospital where Carlisle works to be served to the Children's ward. Obviously that means we will be making a lot of food. I would very much appreciate it if my children would help me in undertaking this task. We have been very fortunate to be so blessed with so much, and I feel it is only right for us to give back.

Bad news, kids. My mom and I decided that food and electricity were more important than the internet bill last month, soooo I am currently without a connection. I'm updating from my phone. He wants to see me again. After months of avoiding me, Santiago finally wants to see me. How one can avoid each other in this castle still baffles me, but he managed to do it. The question is why? Why was he to busy to spend time with me? Was I not...good? The very idea that I can't please a man sexually is appalling to consider. Of course I'm good. The problem was entirely his, if he was not satsified.
Still, he seemed...genuinely sorry. He said that he missed me. How can I say 'no'? I...I care about him. That very statement alone scares me senseless. The only person I should even be concerned about is Master Aro. I am a personal bodyguard, I shouldn't be privileged to such things as...as love. Do I love Santiago? Maybe. I know it hurt me when he started avoided me. Master Aro was furious that I was hurt, that someone had the nerve to hurt *his* personal bodyguard. Thankfully he did not hurt him. I don't want him injured. Even...even if his absence affected me in ways I am to scared to examine.
Besides, if I were to take anyone as a mate, why NOT Santiago? He understands loyalty to the Masters. He would not make me leave Volturi. He would not be so foolish and stupid as Eleazar was to leave with his mate. No, Santiago would be a fine mate to take if I were to ever take one. He understands.
How vile. I never thought I'd be brought down by such emotions. How the mighty fall.
